In this interview, she shares insights into her academic success, the role of her teachers, and her ambitions for the future. Read edited excerpts:
How was your recent academic performance?
I’m proud of my recent academic performance. I scored 96% overall, which reflects the hard work I’ve put in throughout the year. I’m especially happy with my 98% marks in English, which was the highest in my entire batch. This achievement has motivated me to continue striving for excellence in all subjects.
Clearly, the teachers are doing an excellent job?
Absolutely! The teachers at our school are excellent and go above and beyond to ensure we understand the concepts thoroughly. My Mathematics teacher not only explains complex problems step by step but also relates them with real-world examples, which makes the learning process more engaging and relevant. My English teacher encourages us to explore different perspectives in literature, which really helped me achieve my high score. My German teacher focuses on making learning the foreign language fun and interactive, which makes it easier to understand it.
My Science teachers always relate concepts to real-life situations, which makes it easier to understand complex topics. The Social Studies teacher uses interesting discussions and activities to make history and geography come alive. So it’s not just about memorising dates but understanding the reasons behind events. Overall, the teaching has been crucial to my academic success.
What’s your ambition in life?
My ambition is to get into one of the top engineering colleges, like IIT or BITS, and pursue a career in technology. I’ve always been fascinated by how things work, and engineering would allow me to channel that curiosity into creating innovative solutions. These institutes are known for their academic rigor and strong foundation in engineering, which I believe will prepare me for a successful career in this field.
So the science subjects fascinate you?
Yes. However, my favorite subject is Mathematics because it’s the foundation of logic and problem-solving. I love how every problem has a solution if approached the right way, and it’s very rewarding to find that solution. It helps me think critically and pushes me to solve even more complex challenges. I believe the skills I develop in Math will be essential in my future as an engineer.
And how is the school encouraging you to chase your dreams?
The school has been incredibly supportive in nurturing my academic and personal growth. The school provides us with extra study materials that help me go beyond the regular syllabus, and conduct dedicated doubt-clearing sessions where we can ask questions and get personalized help. The school also encourages us to participate in competitions like Olympiads, which helps us push our limits and stay motivated. This constant support has played a big role in my achievements so far.
