The event, held under the esteemed banner of the Vishwas Group in collaboration with the Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, witnessed the confluence of India’s finest classical musicians, each enriching the stage with soulful artistry.
Dr. Sumit’s performance was a highlight of the Sammelan, as he presented evocative renditions of Raag Ahir Bhairav and Raag Miyaan Malhaar. He began his initial training under his father, Shri Jasbir Singh Padam, and continues to uphold the sacred Guru-Shishya Parampara as a disciple of Pandit Harvinder Sharma, a leading Sitar exponent of the Imdadkhani Gharana. This grounding in tradition, coupled with his innovative approach, has shaped Dr. Sumit into a performer who seamlessly blends classical purity with modern sensibilities.
