RUKHSAT 2024-25: A memorable farewell at this school

The corridors of Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, echoed with nostalgia and excitement as the students of Class XI organised a heartfelt farewell, RUKHSAT, for the outgoing Class XII batch of 2024-25. The event was a celebration of camaraderie, memories, and the journey of the students who are now set to embark on a new chapter of their lives.

The day commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony, a symbolic gesture of wisdom and enlightenment. The honourable Principal, Mr AK Sharma, Vice-principal, Ms Aarti Shorey Bhat, esteemed faculty members, and the Head Boy and Head Girl graced the occasion with their presence. This solemn beginning set the tone for an evening filled with joy, reminiscence, and grandeur.

The cultural programme that followed was a delightful blend of talent, enthusiasm, and emotions. Students of Class XI mesmerised the audience with scintillating dance performances, melodious songs, and pulsating music that infused the auditorium with energy. The vibrant performances reflected the love and admiration the juniors held for their seniors, making the event all the more special.

One of the highlights of the evening was the glamorous ramp walk, where the outgoing students, dressed in their finest attire, confidently took the stage. They showcased not just their grace but also their intellect through a modeling round, where their spontaneous and insightful responses impressed the judges. The competition was fierce, yet friendly, adding a spirit of excitement to the event.

The much-awaited titles of the evening were awarded to deserving students who stood out with their elegance, confidence, and charm. Diljot Singh (XII Commerce) and Gurleen Kaur Chahal (XII Science) were crowned Mr and Ms Apeejay 2024-25, respectively. The titles of Mr Handsome and Ms Elegant were bagged by Jashanpreet Singh (XII Commerce) and Harjot Kaur (XII Science). Additionally, Misham Bhardwaj and Prabhjot Kaur (both from XII Science) were adjudged the ‘Best Dressed’ students of the event.

Emotions ran high as the Head Boy and Head Girl took to the stage to express their heartfelt gratitude. They conveyed their appreciation towards the Principal, teachers, and even the support staff, acknowledging their unwavering guidance and encouragement throughout their academic journey. Their speeches resonated with warmth, gratitude, and a touch of melancholy, making it a truly touching moment.

In his motivational address, the Principal extended his best wishes to the outgoing batch.
