
Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri recently celebrated Children’s Day with an engaging and heartfelt program that brought together students, teachers, and staff in a vibrant expression of joy and unity. The event honored the essence of childhood while inspiring students to embrace their potential and values.
The day began with a soulful prayer led by the teaching staff, followed by an evocative recital of Kabir’s dohas. The dohas, presented with reverence, resonated with the audience, underscoring timeless lessons on simplicity and wisdom. Building on this spiritual opening, Ms Sonu Sangwan delivered an inspiring speech emphasising the importance of values like kindness and perseverance, encouraging students to cherish their school days.
Celebrating childhood through art and wisdom
Mr. Sanjeev Mishra’s powerful shloka recital added a reflective note to the celebration. He explained their profound meaning, urging students to adopt qualities like patience and resilience. Poetry was also central to the program, with Mr. Ashok’s heartfelt verses encapsulating the innocence and possibilities of childhood, striking a chord with the audience.
The energy of the day soared with vibrant performances. Ms Pinki Sharma’s graceful dance brought a festive atmosphere, followed by an instrumental duet by Ms Abha Gupta and Mr. Sandeep Kumar. Their harmonious blend of classical and contemporary tunes captivated everyone present. Adding to the artistic flair, Ms. Mamta’s melodious singing created an unforgettable atmosphere in the event.
Messages of encouragement and unity
Guiding the program, Ms Poonam Sharma anchored each segment with enthusiasm and shared an inspiring story on courage and determination. Her storytelling left students motivated to pursue their dreams with perseverance.
For the younger classes, a fancy dress activity added joy and laughter, as students from Nursery to class 2 delighted everyone with their creative costumes.
Principal, Dr. Vineet Vashishtha addressed the audience with a heartfelt speech. He emphasised the importance of education in shaping compassionate individuals, he encouraged students to strive for excellence and make positive contributions to society.
The day concluded with the national anthem, leaving students with a sense of pride and unity. The celebration was a tribute to the boundless dreams, talents, and enthusiasm that students bring to the school.
