Students of Apeejay School, Noida, have showcased commendable academic performance in Class IX. Through consistent effort, teacher support, and personal strategies, they navigated challenges and achieved impressive results, setting a strong foundation for future academic success. Meet Shreya Aggarwal, Divit Rustogi, and Aarush Bansal, students of Class IX-D, academic year 2024-25.

Shreya, who scored 94%, shared that her mantra is: Consistent effort over last-minute cramming. “Studying a little every day, clearing difficult concepts early on, and reading each chapter line by line were all part of my strategy. These methods helped me stay on top of my subjects and avoid last-minute panic,” she said and added that the support from our teachers played a huge role in her performance.

“They were always ready to help, made the classes engaging, gave us excellent notes, and ensured our doubts were cleared. Among all the subjects, I found Social Science, particularly History, to be the most challenging. It’s extremely lengthy, and unfortunately, I underestimated it. That led to a lot of stress before the exam. One key lesson I learned from that experience is that Social Science cannot be tackled through rote learning alone,” she shared.

Divit, who scored 93.6%, credited his success to the unwavering support of his teachers. The Social Science teacher eased their workload by allowing printouts instead of lengthy written work. “Our Math teacher’s consistent efforts helped me score well, while our English teacher encouraged diverse perspectives. In Science, we received extra information that enriched our understanding of the subject,” he shared.

He didn’t follow a fixed study plan, but practicing previous years’ papers helped. “They’re far more effective than last-minute cramming. While I was consistent in the first term, I relaxed a bit in the second but regained focus after UT3. My parents also supported me by reducing my household chores during the last few months,” he stated.

Aarush, who scored 84.8%, shared that at the beginning of the academic year, he had a study strategy in mind. I wanted to study each chapter as it was taught to make exam prep easier. However, it was quite difficult to follow through with this plan. So, I ended up cramming about a couple of weeks before the exams,” he said.

When it came to teacher support, a couple of teachers genuinely helped me prepare for the exams. Some teachers gave revision keys. Their assistance made a lot of difference during the final exams. I am thankful to them for their support and guidance,” he added.
