The rally, held on December 12, began at the school premises and progressed to PVR Anupam, Saket with students enthusiastically chanting slogans like “Blood Owner, Be a Donor” and “Donate Blood, Save Lives”.
The rally was graced by the presence of Mrs Reema Ramachandran, President of the Saket Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA), who spearheaded the event with unwavering enthusiasm. Addressing the students and onlookers, Mrs Ramachandran emphasised the critical need for blood donation in saving lives and urged people to participate wholeheartedly in this noble cause. Her words of encouragement inspired both the students and the audience to reflect on the life-saving potential of such contributions.
“It was a great initiative and a selfless effort by the students to bring awareness to the cause of Blood Donation. Hope, everyone will do their bit and contribute their part on December 15 at the school premises,” Dr Sujeet Eric Masih, Principal of the school, said.
Adding a creative touch to the rally, the students performed a thought-provoking nukkad-natak (street play) that highlighted critical civic issues, further engaging the public and spreading awareness. The act not only captured attention but also delivered a powerful message about the responsibilities of individuals towards society.
The rally culminated at DLF Mall, Select City Walk, Saket, where the students staged their nukkad-natak once again, captivating a larger audience and reinforcing the importance of blood donation. Through their heartfelt performances and slogans, the students successfully conveyed the urgency of blood donation while inspiring many to join the upcoming camp.
