Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, recently praised the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and said it would not only make students great human beings, but also transform India into a great nation. He stated that the education policy reflects the aspirations of citizens and that a time would come when many individuals from all over the world will apply for admission to Indian universities.
The home minister was speaking at a seminar on India’s new educational strategy held at the Madhya Pradesh Assembly complex’s Mansarovar Hall on the 100th anniversary of the birth of late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president, Kushabhau Thakre.
The NEP which the union cabinet authorised in 2020 is the spirit of India and a proclamation of Indianness, according to the union home minister. “The new policy is aimed at harnessing the best ideas in the field of education and seeks to give priority to Indian arts, culture and accord respect to native languages and mother tongue,” said Shah.
Adding, he emphasised how the policy is a reflection of citizens’ aspirations and lays the groundwork for India’s future.
