Aranya Mittal, a student of Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, has achieved an outstanding feat by securing 99.26% in NEET UG 2025. Known among his peers for his exceptional command over Physics, Aranya opens up about how he mastered the subject, his book recommendations, and the one mindset shift that helped him crack even the trickiest concepts. In this article, he shares valuable insights for aspiring NEET students, especially those who find Physics intimidating. Read edited excerpts:
Aranya, which subject came most naturally to you during your NEET preparation?
Physics! It has been my strongest subject since childhood. I could grasp concepts quickly, and it required the least amount of time compared to the others.
Many students struggle with Physics. Can you share which books helped you build a strong foundation?
Sure! Start with NCERT – that’s your base. After that, move on to reference books like H.C. Verma. Since NEET’s difficulty level has gone up, students now need to go beyond the basics and refer to advanced-level books too.
Were there any specific topics in Physics that needed more attention from your end?
Definitely. Waves and Rotation stood out as tricky. They require deeper understanding and consistent practice.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give students who wish to excel in Physics alone?
Concept is power. Without conceptual clarity, you can’t score well. With NEET evolving each year, rote learning doesn’t help – you must truly understand the subject.
Did you have any particular strategy or “hack” that made Physics easier for you?
Finding the right teacher made all the difference. If someone explains in a way you understand, it becomes a lot simpler. Also, repeatedly solving problems – especially from the chapters you find difficult – is a game changer.
Any final advice you’d like to give NEET aspirants?
Time management. Two years may feel long but they fly by. Use your coaching tests to identify weak topics, work on them more, and avoid distractions like social media. Focus is everything.
