How has your learning experience been at Apeejay Stya University?

My learning experience at Apeejay Stya University has been a blissful journey. I was an average student in my school life, and even my teacher once advised my mother that I couldn’t take commerce in our school. I still pursued commerce and scored 80.4% in my 12th grade. This transformation continued as I topped my bachelor program with a percentage of 83.95%. Along the way, I was awarded 10 trophies, published a research paper, and contributed a book chapter. This experience has been priceless for me. Every faculty member, as well as the management and other departments, played a crucial role in nurturing my growth.

You have been scoring the highest marks; how did you prepare for the same?

I prepared with all my heart. It’s challenging for many to understand, but I was a day scholar, who woke up at 5 AM to catch the bus at 6:40 AM. My commute from Dwarka to Gurgaon took around three hours, and I reached university by 9:30 AM. I spent my day there until 5 PM, and by the time I got home, it was around 8 PM. This left me with only four hours of personal time each day. There were moments when I cried from exhaustion, but I never lost hope. I made significant sacrifices during this time, including my health and well-being. However, I refused to sacrifice my potential. I learned that the challenges and hardships I faced were integral to my growth. It’s an emotional experience to reflect on, but I truly believe that to become a good student, you must be willing to pay the price. Those sacrifices ultimately made me rock solid. I devoted as much time as possible to my studies and embraced every opportunity to learn. This journey taught me resilience and determination, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

How did you transform professionally and personally while being at the University?

My transformation, both professionally and personally, has been profound. Throughout my time at Apeejay Stya University, I received immense support from my faculty, particularly Dr. Sunil Kr. Roy, Dr. Akanchha, Dr. Shradha Agarwal, and Prof. Neha Thakur. Their guidance and mentorship helped me navigate my academic journey and grow as an individual. I learned to manage my time, set goals, and push through challenges. This experience not only honed my academic skills but also shaped my personality, instilling in me a sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute to society.

What are your future aspirations?

My future aspirations include completing my ACCA and furthering my education. I am also thrilled to share that I have been admitted to Delhi University for my M.Com program, where I secured admission by ranking 36th in the All India Merit List. This achievement is particularly special to me because it reflects my hard work and dedication. The distance learning program was a competitive one, requiring an 80+ percent score for the general category. I am excited about this new chapter, which represents a significant transition from private to government education, and I owe much of my success to Apeejay Stya University.

Share some of the best memories from Apeejay

My memories from Apeejay Stya University extend beyond friendships. I cherish the time I spent studying in the library, participating in various events, dancing, singing, and engaging in activities like elocution, mimicry, and debates. Holding trophies for my achievements and writing papers and a book chapter are experiences I will always treasure. There were moments of self-doubt, but the support from professors who motivated me helped me overcome those challenges. Additionally, my involvement in community service through organisations like NSS and Rotaract added to my college experience, allowing me to contribute positively to society.
