Management schools include finance activities for MBA students to build practical decision-making, risk analysis, and investment skills, helping them connect classroom theory with real market dynamics and leadership responsibilities.
Recognising the importance of such activities, the Finance Club – FINAST₹A of Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka recently organised an engaging academic activity titled “Union Budget 2026”. The activity aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the Union Budget, fiscal policies, tax reforms, and major economic announcements through interactive learning. Participants were divided into teams and competed in two rounds: a Budget Crossword Round and a Union Budget Quiz Round.
The crossword included clues on tax reforms, government schemes, fiscal deficit, subsidies, economic growth targets, and capital expenditure, while the quiz featured rapid-fire, multiple-choice, true/false, and current-affairs-based budget questions.
The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across batches and successfully created an interactive and competitive learning environment. Participants actively engaged in discussions, applied logical reasoning, and demonstrated awareness of key financial policies and economic reforms. Team 1 (Anuj, Riya, and Drishti) secured the 1st Prize, while Team 2 (Rahul, Vaani, and Anshika) won the 2nd Prize. The session helped students develop conceptual clarity about taxation and fiscal policies, improve analytical thinking, and strengthen teamwork and communication skills.
The event effectively achieved its objective of promoting financial literacy and increasing awareness about national economic developments through an informative and engaging format.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Pooja Chaturvedi Sharma and Prof. Nupur Soti, with student coordinators Sukrati Jain (President), Ashutosh Pandey (Vice-President), and Anupreksha Jain (Secretary), along with volunteers Shreya Vishwakarma, Sudiksha Dwivedi, and Sweta Kumari.
Anuj, whose team won the 1st prize, shared her thoughts that winning the Union Budget activity was a great learning experience. “The crossword and quiz enhanced my understanding of taxation, fiscal policies, and budget concepts while improving my analytical thinking and teamwork skills,” she mentioned.
Another winner Rahul shared, “Participating in the Union Budget activity was both challenging and insightful. It helped me strengthen my knowledge of economic policies, budget announcements, and improved my quick thinking and collaborative problem-solving skills.”
