Having pursued a PGDM with specializations in Marketing and Operations, Harshit has now secured a role at ICICI Bank as a Relationship Manager. In this exclusive interview, he reflects on his academic journey, campus life, and career ambitions.

Why did you choose to pursue a PGDM in Marketing and Operations?

After completing my B.Com, I knew I wanted to deepen my knowledge of business management. Since my academic background was rooted in commerce, this specialization seemed like the perfect fit to enhance my skills and explore various opportunities in the corporate world.

What are some key skills you’ve gained at Apeejay School of Management?

My PGDM journey has been enriching in multiple ways. Academically, I have developed strong leadership qualities, customer relationship-building techniques, and financial analysis skills. Beyond the classroom, I have honed networking abilities, negotiation tactics, and an entrepreneurial mindset, which I believe will be crucial for my future career.

How would you describe your campus life?

Life at Apeejay is dynamic and engaging. I actively participate in volleyball and other extracurricular activities, which help in building teamwork and resilience. The rigorous curriculum, coupled with frequent business presentations and case studies, has also kept me on my toes, preparing me for real-world corporate challenges.

What role did the faculty play in shaping your learning experience?

The faculty at Apeejay has been instrumental in my growth. They are highly cooperative, always approachable, and ensure that every student gets the guidance they need. There is a strong culture of inclusivity and support, which has helped me stay motivated throughout my journey.

What are your career plans after joining ICICI Bank?

For now, I am focused on excelling in my role at ICICI Bank. Over the next two to three years, I plan to gain industry experience, understand the nuances of financial management, and then evaluate my next career move based on the knowledge and expertise I acquire.
