My dad is not famous or super strong,
He can’t lift a car and even sings songs wrong.
But when I am sad or need a hand,
He is always there to understand.
He works a lot and still makes time,
To walk our dog and helps me fine.
He tells me jokes that make me groan
And laughs the loudest on his own.
He is not a hero like in the books
But he gives the best advice and looks
He helps me when I get things wrong
And tells me “failing makes you strong“
He does not ask for any thanks or praise
But I see it in the little ways
Like how he smiles up when I am around
Or cheers me up when I am down
So, this is just a note to say
I love you Dad – Happy Father’s Day
You are not perfect and that is okay
You are my dad and that is your way
