The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025, with registration now open for eligible candidates. The JEE Main, a gateway for engineering aspirants, will be conducted in two sessions for the academic year 2025-26. Session 1 is scheduled from January 22 to January 31, 2025, while Session 2 will take place in April 2025. Candidates can register for the first session until November 22, 9 PM, with fee payments accepted until 11:50 PM on the same day.
The JEE Main exam includes two papers: Paper 1 for B.E./B. Tech admissions to NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, which also serves as the eligibility test for JEE Advanced for IIT admissions. Paper 2 is designed for B. Arch and B. Planning courses. The exam will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, and others.
JEE Main 2025 will be held in two daily shifts: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (IST). Paper 1 includes Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical value-based questions, applying negative marking for incorrect answers.
Candidates are advised to submit only one application, as multiple applications will lead to disqualification. Those who wish to appear for Session 2 can apply later using the same application number, with separate fee payments for each session. Updates will be shared on NTA’s official websites.
