The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will begin the JEE Counselling 2025 process on June 14, 2025, for admissions to 127 premier engineering institutes across India. The registration and choice-filling window closed on June 12 at 5 pm, via the official website josaa.nic.in.
Eligible candidates who qualified through JEE Main or JEE Advanced 2025 will now be considered for admissions to:
- 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)
- 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs)
- Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur
- 26 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)
- 46 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs)
The counselling process comprises six rounds of seat allocation. The first allotment results will be announced on June 14 at 10 am. Further rounds will be held on June 21, June 28, July 4, July 10, and July 16, with the final round for IITs. The entire counseling process will conclude on July 22, 2025.
JoSAA had conducted two mock seat allocations during the choice-filling period to help students understand likely outcomes based on their preferences. This allowed candidates to refine their choices before the final allocation began.
To check seat allotment, candidates must log in to the JoSAA portal using their JEE Main application number and password. Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO candidates without JEE Main scores must use their JEE Advanced 2025 credentials.
Candidates can withdraw their acceptance of a seat until the end of the fifth round’s seat acceptance window. Students are advised to keep track of official announcements and deadlines to ensure a smooth admission process.
