IBM has broadened its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) by inaugurating an innovation lab in Bengaluru. This cutting-edge lab, the first of its kind, welcomes clients worldwide to explore collaborative IBM-AWS solutions. It also serves as a platform for testing prototypes and proof-of-concepts applicable across diverse industries including banking, automotive, manufacturing, energy, travel, healthcare, and more.
As part of this extended partnership, IBM Consulting aims to equip 10,000 consultants with expertise in AWS GenAI services by the close of 2024. These consultants will have exclusive access to a partner-only programme offering training on prime use-cases and best practices for client engagement with AWS GenAI services.
The lab is structured into distinct experience zones, each focused on different technology domains rooted in GenAI and machine learning.
Anuj Malhotra, vice-president and senior partner of Growth Platforms at IBM India Client Innovation Centre for IBM Consulting stated that with the IBM innovation lab being launched in collaboration with AWS in India, the objective is to showcase the full potential of the joint value proposition that IBM and AWS offer to clients from across the world. Clients can now experiment with the latest cloud-enabled technologies including generative AI in the lab, before actually implementing and scaling solutions on AWS.
IBM Consulting and AWS already serve clients across a spectrum of industries with a range of AI solutions and services. This collaboration is now fortified with the transformative capabilities of GenAI, aimed at expediting AI integration into both business and IT operations, leveraging AWS as a foundation.
