Annika, please tell us about your recent academic performance?
I achieved the third position in my class 9 batch with a percentage of 96%. I was also the subject topper for German, scoring a perfect centum in the subject.
That is an incredible result! Clearly, your teachers have prepared you well
Yes, I am immensely grateful to all my teachers for their guidance. In particular, I appreciate the time that they give to each student and their patience while explaining concepts. I am amazed by their mastery in their subjects and how in-depth they go during explanations.
And what is your aim in life?
Honestly, I can’t even decide- I have so many interests! I enjoy programming, languages, and studying the sciences- but if I were to choose one, I would go for astronautical engineering specifically.
So which subjects are your favourite and why?
English and German fascinate me the most! I enjoy reading immensely, and seem to have inherited a love for languages from my father. I have plans to continue to learn German at much higher levels, even after I no longer have it as a subject at school.
But how is the school encouraging you as a student?
Firstly, the school maintains a competitive and holistic environment by regularly engaging students in both intra- and inter-school activities. This gives us a balance between academics and extracurriculars, even as a student of tenth grade who is scheduled to give the board exams in 2025.
Secondly, it is a great motivation for each student to have their achievements acknowledged, irrespective of their measure. For example, each year, at the Annual Appreciation day, students are awarded for demonstrating excellence in academics and extracurricular activities. All of this truly encourages us to aim to achieve even higher grades of excellence, as is the motto of the school – ‘Soaring high is my nature!’
