Ahana, what is your book The Lovely Family all about?
It’s about the love and affection that families share. I wrote it so people can understand how much all family members care for and support each other.
What inspired you to write a book on this theme?
I always wanted to write something that shows how much I love my family—and how everyone loves theirs. I thought it was the perfect topic because it’s so close to my heart.
How long did it take you to write this book?
It didn’t take too long—maybe two to three weeks or even less. Once I had the idea, the words just flowed!
How did your school and teachers react when your book got published?
My teachers were proud of me, and my classmates were very happy for me. Everyone appreciated my effort, and it made me feel really confident and excited.
Did your school support and encourage you through the process?
Yes, they encouraged me a lot. They told me it was a great achievement, and that writing a book could really boost my confidence. Their kind words motivated me even more.
Have you always been interested in writing stories?
Yes! I’ve always wanted to write a book. It’s something I dreamed of for a long time.
What’s next? Are you planning another book?
Yes, I’m thinking of writing a fairy tale or maybe even a little horror story! I want to try something fun and imaginative next time.
And who’s your favourite author or book so far?
I love The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. The story of Mowgli really stayed with me.
