‘I love to draw the sky’

Lovroop Kaur is just a class 5 student at Apeejay School, Model Town in Jalandhar. But it takes not more than 20 minutes for this young budding artist to draw a painting. A passionate learner, Lovroop’s drawings totally will amaze you.

Selected as the Aspiring Artist of the week, Lovroop tells us why she loves to draw sky the most and also sweetly tells about her fondness for colours.

Lovroop, when did you start drawing?
I started drawing in class 3. It has been two years since I began with art.

What inspired you to start drawing, dear child?
I just love drawing. I saw others kids drawing and my parents also enrolled me in online drawing classes. That is how I began with it.

What do you love to draw the most?
I love painting the sky with different colours. The sky is so beautiful and I love filling it with different shades.

How does your school encourage you in this regard?
The teachers give us homework for drawing. I get new ideas for art from the homework. And I also participated in district level inter school art competitions.

That’s lovely! So, how much time does it take you to make a drawing Lovroop?
Well, it takes me about twenty minutes roughly. I am very quick in drawing.

Your next drawing will be on…
Flowers! I love flowers, they come in so many different colours and shapes.

And what do you love the most about drawing?
I love different shades of colours and showing that in a drawing makes me really happy.

Finally, any other hobbies apart from drawing?
Practising Kathak and swimming.
