Abhishek Patel completed his B Tech Computer Science from School of Engineering & Technology (SOET) at Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram. He has recently been placed at CarDekho and speaks about his experience at the workplace and at ASU in this quick informal conversation.Read edited excerpts:
How has the experience at ASU been?
It was a very good experience. The teachers are really good. They are knowledgeable about each and every entire field. They guided us very well in the four years. They made us work on different projects, took us to programs in different colleges.
Tell us a bit about your placement?
I got an internship plus a placement opportunity at CarDekho. I handle the software development part there. I am very excited to begin this new journey.
Were you campus placed?
Yes! ASU not only had many big companies coming to their campus but also organised regular resume writing workshops. mock tests, interviews and panel discussions for us students. They trained us thoroughly.
How is life at ASU campus?
Lots of events and fests happening every 2-3 weeks at different departments. Different events keep happening, our Engineering department also has a Proxima Group. I made a lot of friends at the campus and most of us students got placed.

So, how is the internship going?
I am working in Jaipur at CarDekho company. There are no fixed work hours but I have to complete my 6 month internship and then will be placed in the company. I develop the company’s website, API and other things.
