‘I got an access to a wealth of practical learning opportunities’ 

Preeti Mittal, is a dedicated student at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) at Apeejay Stya University (ASU). She is happy pursuing her passion and learning something new everyday and has also completed various summer internships. In a quick chat she shares her experiences and aspirations in a candid conversation.

Preeti, how’s life at ASU?
Life at ASU is great! I have access to a wealth of practical learning opportunities. The campus is vibrant and full of activities that keep things exciting.

So, what’s your go-to activity or hangout place on campus?
I have a close-knit group of sweet, albeit annoying, friends from various departments. Our favorite hangout spot is the college canteen, where we enjoy long walks and deep conversations about life.

Are the professors guiding you well?
Absolutely! I’m grateful to be a part of the SJMC community. Our teachers are always available and ready to assist with any queries. I never hesitate to ask questions, and their insights and knowledge have been invaluable.

Has ASU trained you well for placements?
Yes, the university is definitely doing its part. They conduct various workshops, seminars, and sessions to prepare us for our future careers.

Tell us about the opportunities you bagged.
As a third-year student, I’ve completed internships provided by the college during summer vacations, which have given me valuable hands-on experience and industry experience.

But what’s your goal in life, and how has ASU helped you achieve it?
I aspire to work in the production line of mass communication. ASU has guided me proficiently through essential concepts and practices, ensuring I receive a comprehensive understanding of the field. SJMC at ASU has equipped me with a broad spectrum of knowledge that is crucial for my career path.
