
National Education Day was celebrated with great zeal at Apeejay Stya University, where students took part in a series of engaging activities to honour the occasion. The day kicked off with a student-led presentation on the significance of National Education Day, shedding light on its relevance and paying tribute to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India’s first Education Minister. This was followed by the screening of an insightful documentary film on Azad’s contributions to education.
A range of competitions kept the momentum high throughout the day. An extempore speech competition on the theme “Educational Issues in 21st Century India” saw enthusiastic participation, as students shared their thoughts on contemporary challenges facing the education sector. Additionally, students showcased their creativity during a poster-making competition on the theme “Aspirations of Youth in 2024,” producing thought-provoking artwork that reflected the dreams and ambitions of young minds today.
The celebrations also included educational games that fostered teamwork and problem-solving skills. The cultural segment featured singing and poem recitation events, where students expressed their passion and creativity. To add a dose of excitement, the day included both indoor and outdoor sports activities such as badminton and carrom, promoting physical fitness and friendly competition.
The fun-filled celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony to honor the winners of the various events, followed by a photo session capturing the spirit of the day. Overall, the event not only commemorated the importance of education but also provided a platform for students to showcase their talents, fostering a spirit of learning, creativity, and camaraderie.
