Honouring a Legacy: A day of reverence and reflection

Recently, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, marked the 106th birth anniversary of its Founder-Chairman, Dr Stya Paul, with deep reverence and gratitude. The solemn ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp and floral tributes by Vice-Principal Ms Vandana Bansal, faculty members, and students. A highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the prestigious Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values. This honour is given each year to students who embody the principles of integrity, compassion, and service that Dr Stya Paul stood for.

The awardees this year were: Ansh Gupta (Class VIII, Middle School), Mehreet Kaur (Class X, Secondary Wing), and Anvi Sharma (Class XI, Senior Wing). Their recognition served as an inspiring reminder that true education extends beyond academics; it lies in character, empathy, and ethical living.

A day of devotion and reflection

The celebration featured soulful bhajans, a touching video presentation, and a graceful dance performance that captured the spirit of devotion and gratitude. A thought-provoking skit on Dr Stya Paul’s life and contributions brought his legacy vividly to life for the audience. The ceremony concluded with the peaceful Ram dhun, filling the hall with calmness and reverence.

Dr Stya Paul’s life as an educationist, philanthropist, and freedom fighter remains a guiding light for the Apeejay Education community.
