Greed
The world has enough for everyone’s need
but not for everyone’s greed.
Here’s the tale of a man and his irresistible greed.
With eyes obsessed with fortunes untold,
He seeks money and strength, his heart becoming cold.
He collects and grasps, with hands tightly held,
Ignoring the cries of the needy,
Poor and deprived.
He wants everything, more than his share,
Blinded by greed, he forgets how to care.
He raids the earth’s resources consuming,
But in his constant chasing of treasures and gold,
He loses his soul, a price too high to behold.
For true wealth lies not in material gain,
But in love, in harmony and in peace we attain.
Embrace compassion and generosity with great speed.
For only then, in a world that’s kind and fair.
Can we heal the wounds caused by a man’s despair!
