Apeejay School, Saket recently hosted an enlightening session of Gita Varta – a dialogue series aimed at introducing students to the eternal wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. The theme for this edition was “Courage”, a value regarded as a divine attribute in the holy scripture.
Understanding courage through the Gita
In the Bhagavad Gita, courage is much more than a physical trait – it is a symbol of spiritual strength and moral resilience. Students were taught that real courage involves staying true to one’s values, standing against injustice, and facing life’s challenges with inner determination. The session shed light on how courage, as described in the Gita, supports the pursuit of dharma (righteousness) even in the face of adversity.
Facilitators engaged students in meaningful discussions and reflective activities that allowed them to explore the relevance of courage in their own lives. Students shared personal experiences where they had to make difficult decisions or act with integrity, despite fear or uncertainty. This interactive component made the session both relatable and deeply introspective.
Spiritual learning meets personal growth
The Gita Dialogue helped students connect timeless teachings to modern-day challenges. By learning that courage is also about emotional stability, ethical strength, and willpower, participants walked away with a renewed understanding of themselves and their responsibilities. The session encouraged students to cultivate bravery not just in action, but also in thought and spirit.
Through platforms like Gita Varta, Apeejay School, Saket continues to promote a balanced educational environment – one that combines academic excellence with strong moral foundations. By introducing spiritual discussions into the school ecosystem, the institution empowers students to become not only well-informed individuals but also wise and courageous citizens.
