The dawn of the new day, a wave of freedom,
Asking for their rights amidst the political agendum.
Voters asking for their emancipation, leaders to killing of people on roads.
I wonder about women who are still struggling in their homes.

Captivity is no longer bounded by the chains of race,
It happens everywhere with everyone and the oppressor winning all the games.
Oh! This dawn is so heavy, let’s talk about the night.
Looking from my home, I find my stars shine.
But do they actually get their entitlement,
Amidst the whole world of privileges.
Leaders and workers are not the same,
Yet this world portrays the leaders as the workers for the people .
But they fail to uphold the truth because the truth never shall prevail.

To speak our minds without fear,
To worship, love and live as we please,
To pursue our passions year after year,
To wander where the heart may ease.

Looking at the eyes of the woman,
Sitting near her house door,
Asking for emancipation just to wear her clothes.
The world puts a label on her every time,
Is she a lady or a survivor of her own kind.
Asking for her identity is her freedom all alone,

Looking at the night stars ,

That lady slept with a ray of hope,
That one day she will outcast all the shackles that

Hold her all alone.
