Energetic, articulate and always up for a challenge, Priyadarshini Sharma is now a Client Support Associate at S&P Global. A postgraduate in Finance and Business Analytics from Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, she shares how her love for numbers, stage presence, and deep faculty support helped her build a strong foundation for the corporate world.
What made you choose Finance and Business Analytics at ASM?
I was drawn to ASM because of its dedicated focus on management studies and its legacy. Finance had always been my area of interest, but I also wanted to keep pace with the rising demand for analytics, especially with AI booming. This course offered the perfect mix. I was aware of the Apeejay legacy in education and this was the best place to be at.
What were your biggest academic takeaways from the programme?
The course gave me a solid understanding of how real-world finance works. The Business Analytics part added an extra edge—it’s already helping in my current role. Though I’m in client support, my department deals heavily with financial data, and the analytical background really helps.
Tell us about your co-curricular journey—what kept you active beyond the classroom?
Oh, I was everywhere! From paper presentations to anchoring Founders Day and Synergy—I loved being on stage. I also helped organise several events and guided juniors in my second year. These experiences really sharpened my people skills.
How would you describe the faculty support at ASM?
Absolutely wonderful. Whether it was academics or career decisions, the faculty was always approachable. I had multiple one-on-one conversations where they patiently addressed all my concerns and guided me in the right direction.
And finally, what excites you most about your role at S&P Global?
I love the fact that it’s client-facing and truly global. I get to talk finance every day while solving problems for clients. It’s the best of both worlds—technical knowledge meets interpersonal engagement.
