Thinking about the importance of freedom, one realises that it is the youth that has to put in serious efforts to better the country by the next 20 years. The former Prime Minister also put immense faith in the capability of the youth for whom he always had a special place in his heart.

Ms Archana Chaudhary, history teacher at Apeejay Svran Global School believes that the modern Indian youth has a pivotal role in shaping the future of the nation. She says, “To make India a better place in the next 20 years, they can focus on education, innovation, civic engagement, and social responsibility. By pursuing quality education, staying updated with technological advancements, actively participating in community development, and addressing social issues, the youth can contribute to a more prosperous and inclusive India.”

She adds, “Encouraging diversity, respecting different perspectives, and working towards sustainable practices are essential for fostering a stronger and united nation. Besides, keeping in touch with future trends, we must also water our historical roots. The basis of our nation state is our Indian civilization that has lasted milleniums and has seen historical continuity across the eons of time.” She further adds, “The youth must boldly march into the future, while maintaining a respect for our history, culture and roots. It is healthy symbiosis of these two aspects that will define our collective future. A tall and strong tree, needs deep roots for its strength. It is on this civilization level foundation that we must build. Their outlook, must consist of lessons learnt from past, all the while dreaming of a glorious Indian future.”
