My teachers motivated me to write some articles as well as a poem for the Apeejay Newsroom. So, I wrote an article as well as this poem on the concept of education. One may say that I got inspired because of my teachers.
Tell us the thought behind your poem Education?
We all know that education is very important for each individual. Hence, as a student, I decided to write a poem on education that explains its life changing importance.
Any favourite poet and poem?
I like so many poets and an endless number of poems. But the two poets that inspire me the most are Rabindranath Tagore and William Shakespeare. I feel their poems are the best. The sweetness with which their poems are written and the deep meanings that they hold leave you spellbound. The more you read their words, the more you learn from them.
When it comes to writing you prefer: rhyme or free verse?
I like both, it’s too hard to choose one. So many beautiful poems with rhymes as well as free verse are in my reading list. Can’t pick one!
Writing poems in the day or night?
Anytime. I wrote the poem Education in my free time. Whenever I am free , I start thinking about a poem and try to formulate my ideas into words.
How does AIMETC encourage you to write such lovely poems?
My teachers encourage me to submit articles and poems for the Apeejay Newsroom website. Their enthusiasm motivates me to put my writings in front of the world.
How do you approach writing a poem? What are your common writing themes?
Well, this poem was my first writing experience so, it took me 4-5 days to complete the poem. I also faced some difficulties in finding the right words that related to my poem.
Finally, the best thing about writing poetry for you?
I usually like poems that are related to the real world. I want to write on life and its many shades that we all face.
