Tell me about your book in brief. What’s the story about?
My book is about the incredible journey of MS Dhoni. It highlights the hard work and determination he showed in following his passion for cricket. It’s a story of not giving up, about pushing through all odds, and how he ultimately got selected by the BCCI to play for India. I’ve also written about his key achievements in his cricket career.
What inspired you to write a book?
I’ve watched MS Dhoni – The Untold Story several times, and it really moved me. I felt like I wanted to do something to honour Dhoni’s struggle and determination. That’s what led me to write this book!
How did your classmates react when they saw your book?
They were so surprised! Many of them are cricket fans too, so they were excited and happy for me. It felt really special to see their reactions and hear their encouraging words.
How did your school support you in this journey?
Our school actually started the process by sharing the link to participate in the initiative. After that, our English teachers constantly motivated us. Whenever I had doubts or needed help, they were always there to guide me.
What is your favourite book and who is your favourite author?
My favourite book is The Magic of the Lost Temple by Sudha Murty. She is definitely one of my favourite authors. I really enjoy the way she tells stories that are simple but filled with meaning.
What are you going to write next now?
Now I want to write a fictional story. I’m going to create a new world with my own characters—a whole book about an island of dreams. I’m very excited about that!
Walk me through the publishing process.
The publishing process was actually very simple. Once I completed the writing part, I selected a book cover and then clicked on the publish icon. It was all digital and very smooth. I’m glad such platforms exist for young writers like me!
