Cultural events are heartthrob for any academic institution. And the School of Engineering & Technology at Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram leaves no stone unturned when it comes to organising technical as well as cultural fests.
Thus, the School recently organised a cultural extravaganza – “Cultural Mosaic.” The campus buzzed with energy as students actively participated in an array of cultural activities, including poster making, rangoli, dance, and dumb charades, with more than 20 students showcasing their talents.
The prime objective to host “Cultural Mosaic”, a brainchild of the School of Engineering & Technology, was to cultivate a profound sense of cultural appreciation and diversity within the student body. Providing a lively platform for students to express their creativity and skills, the event aimed to foster an environment promoting creativity, teamwork, and mutual respect.
The outcome of the event exceeded expectations, unveiling a vibrant tapestry of student talent and cultural expression. It not only served as a celebration of diversity but also played a pivotal role in fostering a strong sense of unity and inclusivity within the school community.
Students actively engaged in the diverse cultural activities, gaining valuable experiences in collaboration and cultural understanding. The lively performances and expressive exhibits underscored the richness of cultural diversity present within the school. Through their participation, students not only showcased their artistic prowess but also contributed to creating an environment that encourages mutual respect and appreciation for various cultural backgrounds.
Sharing her thoughts Tanisha Yadav, a B Tech student pursuing Computer Science Engineering in Apeejay expressed, “The Cultural Mosaic event showcased diverse talents, including my participation in a captivating poster-making activity. Focused on the theme of Indian festivals, my creation specifically highlighted pongal, beautifully capturing the essence of this harvest celebration. The event successfully celebrated cultural richness and creativity within the engineering community.”
Undoubtedly, Cultural Mosaic emerged as a testament to the school’s commitment to providing holistic experiences for its students, promoting not only academic excellence but also a vibrant and culturally aware community. The event’s success lies not only in the diversity of activities but in the unity it fostered, creating lasting memories for all participants and reinforcing the school’s ethos of embracing and celebrating differences.
