‘Critics don’t define you!’: Poem by Anushka Sinha, Apeejay School, Noida

In a world where fault-finders roam

No matter how flawless, no matter how you’ve grown

They’ll pick apart every little thing

Yet their opinions need not sting

For their gaze is fixed on flaws alone

Ignoring reasons why success has flown

They’ll mock and jeer at each mistake

But your strength lies in the steps you take

When bad grades haunt and failures appear

Seek the lessons and don’t be in fear

Their laughter may ring, but don’t you mind

True success, in time, you’ll finally find

When triumph graces your determined quest

They may dismiss it, saying you’re just blessed

But deep within, you know the truth

Your hard work’s fire led to this youth

So heed not their words, rise above the fray

Focus on your path, let their doubts allay

In the face of critics, resiliently tread

For your journey’s worth isn’t solely what they’ve said
