Mayank Mehan of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) , Jalandhar has always been interested in finance and business management. How did you feel when you got the news of placement? What is the position you joined?
When I received the news of my placement, I felt extremely happy, proud, and relieved. It was a moment of achievement for me and my family. I have joined Muthoot Fincorp as a Branch Manager Trainee, which is a great opportunity to begin my career in a reputed financial organization.
How did you prepare for the placement? How did your teachers at Apeejay help you pass the process?
I prepared for the placement by developing my communication skills, improving my financial knowledge, and practicing interview questions. I also made sure to stay updated with banking and finance‑related topics. My teachers at Apeejay helped me a lot by conducting mock interviews, guiding me through the selection process, and motivating me to perform confidently. Their support played a big role in my success.
What according to you is important when going for a job interview?
Confidence, clarity of thought, proper body language, and good communication are extremely important during a job interview. It is also important to understand the company, learn about the role you are applying for, and present yourself professionally with a positive attitude.
