What are you doing professionally now?

At present, I am working as a Regulatory Affairs Assistant at Vastu Vihar Biotechnology Pvt Ltd. My role involves ensuring that our products and research activities comply with national and international regulatory standards. I assist in preparing and reviewing regulatory documents, compiling technical dossiers, and coordinating with different departments to ensure that all scientific and manufacturing data meet regulatory requirements.

What are the recent career trends in pharmacy?

The industry is evolving rapidly with the integration of new technologies and innovative therapeutic approaches. One of the most noticeable trends is the shift towards biotechnology-based therapies, personalised medicine, and advanced drug delivery systems. Research is now focusing more on targeted treatments, biologics, gene therapy, and RNA-based therapeutics. Another important trend is the increasing role of data science and digital technologies in drug development and quality management.

Share your favourite nostalgia from ASU.

When I look back, it is not just about the lectures or practical classes but the entire experience of college life that makes me nostalgic. From waking up early to get ready for college, rushing to attend lectures, working on practical experiments in the lab, and preparing for internal exams, every day had its own charm. I can’t forget the preparation of the college fest – Elaan! What made those days truly special were the small moments spent with friends. College life also taught me important life lessons such as teamwork, time management, and perseverance.

Any advice for future pharmacy aspirants?

Don’t just focus on theoretical knowledge; focus on practical skills and real-world applications. Understand the concepts rather than rote learning. Participate in internships, research projects, workshops, and seminars whenever possible. Stay updated with recent scientific advancements and regulatory guidelines. Be curious and open to learning.

Has AI redefined the pharmacy industry?

It is now being used in drug discovery, clinical trial design, data analysis, and pharmacovigilance. AI also helps in improving manufacturing efficiency, predicting drug interactions, optimising supply chains, and enhancing quality control processes. In regulatory affairs, AI-driven tools can assist in document management, regulatory intelligence, and data evaluation.

What are your goals and aspirations?

I aspire to grow further in the regulatory affairs field and take on greater responsibilities within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. My long-term goal is to progress into higher positions where I can contribute to strategic regulatory planning and global product submissions. I also aim to continue expanding my knowledge of international regulatory guidelines and emerging therapeutic technologies.
