The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an orientation programme focused on entrance examinations and career pathways for principals, vice principals, and school counsellors of CBSE-affiliated schools. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the career guidance framework within schools by equipping educational leaders and counsellors with updated strategies and insights. Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the orientation will highlight the importance of structured and student-centric counselling systems that support learners in making informed academic and career decisions.
Through this programme, participants will gain exposure to current trends in entrance examinations, higher education opportunities, and emerging career pathways. The sessions will also focus on sharing information related to internships, scholarships, and diverse educational options available to students after school. By enhancing awareness and preparedness among school counsellors and leaders, CBSE seeks to ensure that students receive timely and relevant guidance aligned with their interests and aspirations.
Interested principals, vice principals, and counselors can register for the orientation programme through the official registration link. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, as seats are limited. Selected participants will receive confirmation via email.
CBSE has clarified that no registration fee will be charged for the programme. However, travel and accommodation expenses (TA/DA) will be borne by the participants themselves. The Board also noted that the orientation programme had been postponed earlier due to rising river water levels in the region and has now been rescheduled.
This initiative reflects CBSE’s continued commitment to empowering schools with effective career counselling practices and supporting students in navigating their future pathways with confidence and clarity.
