CBSE opens CTET December 2025 Registration: How to apply 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has begun the registration process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2025 session. Eligible candidates aspiring to teach in primary or upper primary schools can now apply online through the official website — ctet.nic.in. The last date to submit the online application form is December 18, 2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 8, 2026.

To register, candidates must visit the CTET website and click on the CTET 2025 application link. They will need to fill in personal, academic, and contact details, select the exam centre, paper option (Paper I, Paper II, or both), and preferred languages. Applicants must also upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format. After paying the application fee online, they should download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

The application fee for General and OBC category candidates is Rs 1,000 for one paper and
Rs 1,200 for both. For SC/ST and PwD candidates, the fee is Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both.

The CTET consists of two papers. Paper I is for those intending to teach Classes I to V, while Paper II is meant for teaching Classes VI to VIII. Each paper comprises 150 multiple-choice questions, and there is no negative marking.

For eligibility, candidates applying for Paper I must have completed or be in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). For Paper II, applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree along with a two-year B.Ed, or a four-year integrated B.A./B.Sc.Ed or equivalent qualification. Notably, there is no upper age limit to appear for CTET. 

The exam syllabus includes Child Development and Pedagogy, two language papers, and subject-specific sections — Mathematics and Environmental Studies for Paper I, and Mathematics & Science or Social Studies for Paper II.
