The CBSE class X Home Science exam was held on March 4, 2024. The paper was of 70 marks for theory and the internal assessment practical exam was 30 marks. The exam duration was three hours in total. Reading time for the question was 15 minutes.
The revised CBSE Class 10 Home Science syllabus 2023-24 consists of topics like Principles of Hygienic Handling and Serving of Food, Adolescents: Special Features- Physical and Biological, Motor, Social, Emotional, Cognitive, and Language.
According to Ms Hitanshi Sachdev, PGT Home Science at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, the analysis of the exam is as follows:
· It was a balanced paper. Some questions were easy yet a few questions were challenging.
· The syllabus was covered properly in the exam paper.
· Students felt that they had done well and were optimistic about the results.
· The question paper this year is similar to papers of the last few years.
· The paper was easy to score if students have attempted them under what was taught by the teachers.
