Tell us about your recent achievements.
Recently, I participated in a national-level dance competition where I performed a semi-classical dance. This competition inspired me to face large audiences with confidence, improve my communication skills, and grow beyond academics. One of my most enriching co-curricular experiences was participating in a state-level kickboxing match, where I learnt the importance of competition and gained valuable insights into how I can further improve my fighting abilities.
Who is your biggest motivation and inspiration, and why?
My biggest motivation and inspiration is India’s former and late President, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. His journey from a humble background to becoming the ‘Missile Man of India’ and later the President of India has deeply inspired me. What motivates me the most about him is his simplicity, discipline, and lifelong dedication to learning. He taught me that no dream is too big if we have the courage and determination to achieve it.
Would you like to pursue any activity professionally?
Yes, I would like to pursue dancing professionally, as it allows me to express myself creatively while building self-confidence and self-awareness. Dance helps me grow emotionally and mentally. I am passionate about it and would love to explore how far this interest can take me in the future.
How do you find a balance between academics and these activities?
Self-management and discipline help me balance both academics and other activities. I ensure that my studies remain a priority while also dedicating time to practice my passion. Engaging in sports and dance refreshes my mind and helps me perform more efficiently in academics.
How did Apeejay School support you in this?
The school has always supported me by encouraging active participation in sports and cultural activities along with academics. The school provides ample opportunities, motivation, and guidance from teachers, which has helped me explore my talents confidently while maintaining academic excellence.
How have these activities honed your personality?
Kickboxing has taught me discipline, self-control, and confidence, while dancing has helped me develop expression, creativity, and stage presence. Together, these activities have shaped me into a more confident, self-aware individual with a balanced personality and a positive approach toward personal growth.
