From late-night chatting to eating snacks, watching movies, studying till late and fighting over silly matters, hostel life gives us memories that we cherish for a lifetime.
To give the same experience to the fresh batch of students, Tagore Boys Hostel and Sarojini Naidu Girls Hostel of Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram together organised an orientation event under Life After 5 arena, wherein all the hostellers including students and teachers gathered at Tagore Boys Hostel to spend a fun-filled time and bond with each other.
The event started with the esteemed guidance given by Prof. Dibyendu Tripathi, Chief Warden, followed by various cultural activities organised and performed by students. Students from different batches showcased dance and singing performances, which made everyone groove with their melody and steps.
Further, the students enthusiastically participated in the fun games including treasure hunt, scarf untangle challenge, etc.
On the special occasion, Prof. Tripathi said, “This was an ice-breaking session between juniors and seniors. Also, students were taught about the dos and don’ts of hostels.”
When asked about his experience, fourth-year student, Saksham Arora of B.A. LL.B (Hons.) said, “These types of events give an opportunity to the students to showcase their talent. As the hostel is considered a second home to the students, these events allow them to participate freely and feel comfortable with the rest of the members residing in the hostel.”
At the end, Baljeet and Saloni Jain were announced as Mister and Miss Fresher from the new batch of students. After that, there was a cake cutting ceremony. The event was a beautiful one in which everyone enjoyed, laughed and most importantly made memories.
