Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, Sector-21-D is abuzz with jubilation as two outstanding students from class XI, Anshika Bhattacharya and Minakshi, have achieved a remarkable milestone by qualifying for the prestigious Apeejay Talent Search Examination(ATSE). This achievement not only places these two scholars in the spotlight but also shines a light on the excellence and dedication fostered by the school.
The ATSE is a highly competitive exam known for its rigorous testing, challenging questions, and the ability to identify the brightest minds among students. The path to qualifying for ATSE is paved with rigorous preparation, comprehensive knowledge, and the aptitude to solve complex problems. Therefore, qualifying for ATSE indicates that a student possesses not only a deep understanding of their subjects but also a dedication to excellence.
When asked about level of difficulty in the examination, Anshika said, “For the past two years, I’ve been participating in the ATSE exam, and it has been an enjoyable yet challenging experience. This year, I got to know the exam date a month prior, which allowed me ample time to prepare. Fortunately, I already had my old NCERT books, so I decided to revise them and create some multiple-choice questions based on the material. I took the exam for mental reasoning, biology, chemistry, and physics, and noticed that the questions were more challenging than what I encountered in my standard Class 10 Board exams.”
She added, “Physics posed the greatest challenge for me. To overcome this, I dedicated a significant amount of time to practicing numerical problems. This was crucial, especially since I no longer study mathematics but have focused on the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) stream.”
Minakshi, the other qualifier, had a slightly different journey. She said, “I first learned about the ATSE exam when I was in class IX, and I was determined to participate in it. However, I faced some challenges in meeting the minimum eligibility percentage.
But in class X, my desire to take the ATSE drove me to put in extra effort. I recall studying intensively for about 4-7 hours daily during the last few months. Therefore, qualifying for the ATSE was a moment of great joy for me.”
She also mentioned, “The ATSE exam is notably more challenging than typical school exams, and the time allotted for answering the questions is much shorter.”
In addition to this, Minakshi acknowledged the unwavering support of her teachers, the school’s principal, and her parents in her journey. She shared advice for students, suggesting that they should utilise multiple resources, including reference books, because relying solely on NCERT may not be sufficient given the exam’s higher level of difficulty.
This exam is indeed more than just a competition; it’s a platform for students to showcase their intellectual abilities and problem-solving skills. It truly demands thoughtful tactics and continuous diligence across all subjects.
The success of Anshika Bhattacharya and Minakshi serves as an inspiration to all students of Apeejay. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to their studies have paved the way for a bright future for them, as well as set a remarkable example for others to follow.
