In the shadows of the night, they roam
Criminals, with hearts turned to stone.
Their faces masked, their names
unknown, engaged in acts that will
make your cold even your bone.
They prowl the streets with their evil intent
searching for victims that seem innocent.
With every step, a heart filled with malice
Leaving behind a world in chaotic balance.
Behind their steel bars, they plot and devise
Schemes and plans that make others despise
Their minds corrupted, twisted in sin,
in search of power, their madness begins.
They steal, they cheat, they cause great pain,
Leaving victims heartbroken forever stained.
In their wake, lives shattered and torn
Innocence lost forever to mourn.
But let us not forget, criminals they may be,
Yet humans with stories, we often fail to see.
For behind their actions lies a past untold
A journey we can’t fully understand, yet still unfold.
Perhaps a broken childhood, a lack of love
A society unforgiving, pushing them to shove.
Though their choices may be wrong and vile
Inside, a spark that might have made them smile.
So, let us not judge with hatred and disdain
But seek to understand the criminal’s pain.
For we all have darkness within our soul,
only some choose to let it take control.
For in compassion and forgiveness, we may find
that even the most hardened criminals can be kind.
In a world where redemption is possible for all,
we can break the cycle and watch them stand tall.
