Apeejay’s student teachers are excelling in teaching internship in leading Delhi-NCR schools

Internships play a crucial role in every students’ life. For  B Ed students it gives them the opportunity to apply educational theories, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques in a live school environment. It turns book knowledge into actionable skills.

Aligned with this, the School of Education at Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram proudly announces the remarkable success of its B.Ed. and Integrated B.Ed. pupil teachers during their ongoing teaching internship across leading reputed schools in the Delhi-NCR region.

This internship has provided pupil teachers with invaluable hands-on experience. Participating schools shared excellent feedback about the interns’ performance and their adaptability to the school environment. The Principals, Vice Principals, and mentoring teachers appreciated the professionalism, creativity, and energy of the ASU pupil teachers.

The pupil teachers are actively contributing to school activities such as:

  • ·         Planning and managing morning assemblies
  • ·         Teaching lessons using innovative and learner-centric methods
  • ·         Assisting in co-curricular and literary activities
  • ·         Handling classroom management and student discipline
  • ·         Supporting administrative responsibilities such as end-of-day student dispersal

Notable schools where pupil teachers are currently interning include Apeejay School, Pitampura (Delhi); Apeejay School, Saket (Delhi), Apeejay School, Noida (UP),  Delhi Public School Maruti Kunj, Gurugram, Modern Convent School, Dwarka (Delhi);   Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School, Vile Parle East (Mumbai); Shanti Gram Vidhya Niketan, Gurugram; Howrah Haat High School, (WB), Learner’s Kingdom Academy (Manipur). Additionally, student teachers are also interning in reputed schools run by the Government of Delhi.

Heads of schools have lauded the ASU interns for their proactive approach and professionalism. Mr. Vinod Papreja, Vice Principal in DPS MARUTI Kunj Gurugram, remarked, “The ASU pupil teachers have been highly efficient and innovative in their teaching methodologies. They show promise as future educators.”

Sharing her thoughts, Preeti Bhamla, who is doing her internship in Shantigram Vidya Mandir School, expressed, “My internship experience is good. I am learning new skills and gaining experience, such as I have been part of PTMs where I picked up how to interact with parents and how to react to their questions. The staff is helpful and supportive.”

Further,  Dr. Vijay Kumar, Coordinator of the Teaching Internship Programme, stated, “Our pupil teachers are gaining exceptional practical exposure and the feedback from the schools has been phenomenal. We extend heartfelt gratitude to the Principals, Vice Principals, and mentoring teachers for their constant handholding and guidance during this internship.”
