Devansh, could you share with us some of your most cherished memories from your time at Apeejay School?
Certainly! Being part of the Apeejay family was an incredible experience. The inter house competitions were always memorable; they brought out our competitive spirit in a fun way. I particularly remember how passionate we all were about our respective houses during these events.
What inspired your decision to pursue engineering, especially mechanical engineering, over other fields of study?
I’ve always been fascinated by machines and their intricate workings. Engineering, especially mechanical engineering, offered me the opportunity to delve deeper into this passion. The hands-on nature of the field and its applications in automotive, aerospace, and thermal engineering really appealed to me.
How did Apeejay School contribute to your academic and personal development, particularly in preparing you for your chosen career path?
Apeejay didn’t just prepare me academically; it instilled in me a sense of discipline and a drive for excellence. The teachers played a crucial role in guiding me, not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities like the Inspire Awards and Aavishkar Makeathon, where I gained practical experience and honed my problem-solving skills.
You mentioned participating in the Inspire Awards and Aavishkar Makeathon. How did these experiences influence your perspective on science and engineering?
These competitions were eye-opening for me. They allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to practical challenges and sparked my interest in pursuing a career in science and engineering. Even though I didn’t win the final rounds, the experience was invaluable.
Looking ahead, what are your aspirations for the future, both in terms of education and career?
My immediate goal is to excel in college and gain real-world experience through internships and projects. Ultimately, I aim to secure a good placement and contribute meaningfully to the field of mechanical engineering.
How do you think Apeejay School has equipped you to face the challenges of higher education and the professional world?
Apeejay taught me the importance of attention to detail and perseverance. The rigorous academic environment and supportive teachers prepared me to handle challenges effectively and strive for continuous improvement.
Beyond academics and career pursuits, what are some of your interests and hobbies?
In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar and immersing myself in music. It’s a great way for me to relax and unwind after a busy day.
Lastly, how would you summarise your overall experience at Apeejay School?
Being part of Apeejay School from nursery to 12th grade was truly transformative. The friendships, guidance from teachers, and the overall learning environment have had a lasting impact on me. I’m grateful for the support and encouragement I received, which have shaped me into the person I am today.
