Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram invites student applications for Rotaract Club Office Bearers (2025–26)

In a spirited move to cultivate leadership and community engagement among students, Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram, has announced the opening of applications for the positions of Office Bearers in the Rotaract Club for the academic year 2025–26. The initiative, under the theme ‘Lead the Way, Light the Path — Rotaract Club 2025–26!’, is an open call to all bonafide students of the university who are passionate about social service and youth leadership.

The available positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Treasurer. These roles present an excellent opportunity for students to hone their organisational, communication, and leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on the university and the wider community.

To be eligible, students must demonstrate prior experience in community work—whether through NSS, the Rotaract Club of ASU  (RACASUG), or other similar platforms. Applicants must also have a clean disciplinary record and a genuine interest in service and leadership.

Dr. Vijay Kumar, Associate Professor in Teacher Education and In-Charge of the Rotaract Club at ASU, is overseeing the recruitment process. He highlighted, “Rotaract Club of Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram is a reputed Rotaract Club in Delhi NCR area. Leading such a club will obviously be an unparalleled lifelong experience.”

Sharing her views, Archita Rath, who was the President of Rotaract Club of Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram from 2022 to 2023 expressed, “As the Former President of the Club, I can confidently say that taking up an office bearer role is a transformative experience. It not only hones leadership, time management, and decision-making skills, but also strengthens communication, teamwork, and public speaking abilities. Being part of RACASUG teaches you how to manage time, organise impactful events, and lead with purpose. It opens doors to networking with professionals, Rotarians, and fellow youth leaders from diverse backgrounds, both nationally and internationally.”

She further added, “More importantly, it cultivates a deep sense of responsibility, confidence, and adaptability—qualities essential for personal and professional growth. For any student seeking real-world exposure beyond academics, serving as an office bearer in RACASUG is an invaluable opportunity.”

Another Rotaractors Vibhuti Verma, who was the President from 2023 to 2024, mentioned, “During my Rotaract journey (2020- 2025), I have grown through various leadership roles, including Director of Multimedia, Treasurer, Secretary, President, and now Club Trainer. Throughout these years, I have actively participated in and organised numerous community service initiatives such as tree plantation drives, cloth and pad donation camps, food distribution, Langer Seva, stationery donations, Blood donation, Dental Camp and impactful visits to NGOs and old age homes.”

She also added, “These experiences have not only strengthened my commitment to social responsibility but have also helped me develop strong organisational and team management skills while making a positive difference in the community.”
