‘Apeejay School, Tanda Road is building confidence in my daughter’

As a parent, sending your child to a school that nurtures values, personality, and academic excellence is a top priority. For Ms Amandeep Kaur, whose younger daughter Ishpreet studies in Class VII at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, the decision was simple: “My elder daughter also studied here and is now pursuing medical studies abroad. That is proof of how good the school is,” she says.

In this conversation, she shares how Apeejay’s supportive environment and engaging activities are helping her younger daughter grow into a confident and expressive child.

Read edited excerpts:

Which co-curricular activities does Ishpreet take part in and how are they helping Ishpreet?
Ishpreet participates in kickboxing and dance, especially during the annual function. These activities are very helpful for fitness and refresh the mind. Today, children spend a lot of time on screens, so I am happy she gets a chance to do physical activities at school.

How do you feel the school supports a child’s overall development?
The school is very good in terms of growth and support. The teachers are experienced and most of them have been here for years, so the learning environment feels familiar and safe.

How smooth was her transition from primary to middle school?
There was no problem at all. Since the teachers are the same and very supportive, we didn’t face any difficulty during the transition.

What values do you think the school is instilling in her?
Confidence! She has become bold in speaking and performing. At home she may not talk much, but at school she expresses herself without hesitation. That confidence has come from Apeejay.

How is the communication between teachers and parents?
Through regular Parent-Teacher Meetings and whenever needed, I can call the concerned teacher directly. The communication system is very smooth.

Have you seen growth in her decision-making or responsibility?
She is still improving in that area. Sometimes she changes her mind quickly, but I believe with time and guidance from school, she will improve.
