Apeejay School, Saket hosts inspiring special assembly on ‘Good Prevails Over Evil’

Apeejay School, Saket recently witnessed a heart-warming and thought-provoking special assembly by the students of Grade VII-A, themed “Good Prevails Over Evil.” Held on the school campus, the event beautifully blended learning with creativity, offering students an opportunity to reflect on timeless human values while sharpening their communication and performance skills.

The assembly opened with an atmosphere of enthusiasm as the young learners took the stage with confidence and poise. Through engaging skits, expressive dialogues, and soulful performances, the students depicted how virtues like courage, honesty, compassion and righteousness ultimately triumph over negativity and wrongdoing. Each act was carefully crafted to help children internalise the importance of making ethical choices in their daily lives.

A lesson in values through creative expression

What made the event truly meaningful was its focus on experiential learning. Instead of simply discussing moral values, the students brought them alive on stage. Their performances served as vivid demonstrations of how kindness can dissolve conflict, how truth stands firm even under pressure, and how good intentions can inspire positive change. This hands-on approach helped reinforce the idea that values are best understood when they are practised, not just preached.

Teachers shared that the activity-based learning format encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and empathy among the children. Students worked together—planning scripts, coordinating costumes, practising lines—while also learning the relevance of the theme in real-life situations. Such assemblies serve as powerful tools to nurture emotional intelligence and social awareness, essential skills for holistic development.

Young performers deliver a powerful message

The skits, delivered with remarkable sincerity, depicted everyday scenarios that students could easily relate to—peer pressure, honesty in difficult situations, standing up for what is right, and supporting others with compassion. The performances highlighted that even small acts of goodness can create a ripple effect, inspiring others and shaping a more harmonious community.

A colourful backdrop and a thoughtfully designed thematic board added charm to the presentation, reflecting the effort and creativity of both students and teachers. The audience, comprising students and faculty, applauded the young performers for their clarity, expressiveness, and teamwork.
