Apeejay School, Saket Celebrates National Mathematics Day with Creativity and Curiosity

A day infused with numbers, patterns and boundless imagination unfolded at Apeejay School, Saket, as the school celebrated National Mathematics Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The celebration transformed mathematics from a classroom subject into a vibrant, hands-on experience, encouraging students to see numbers as tools for creativity, logic and real-life application.

What made the celebration particularly special was its seamless execution in hybrid mode, allowing enthusiastic participation from students of Classes II to IX and Class XI. Despite the blended format, the energy and excitement among learners remained palpable, reflecting the school’s commitment to innovative and inclusive learning practices.

The day featured a wide range of thoughtfully curated activities designed to deepen conceptual understanding while nurturing creative expression. Students explored graph art, transforming mathematical coordinates into visually appealing designs, while others delved into hands-on activities that strengthened their grasp of mathematical patterns and relationships. A special focus was placed on the famous number 1729, known as the Hardy–Ramanujan number, sparking curiosity about mathematical anecdotes and the beauty of numbers hidden within history.
