Apeejay School, Saket recently held a lively Halloween celebration with the theme “A Fusion of Festivity and Joy,” aimed at embracing the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the belief that “The world is one family”.
The event, organised to promote unity and global citizenship, saw enthusiastic participation from students in Nursery to Grade V, who dressed up in creative costumes and designed posters symbolising togetherness and harmony. “Had an amazing time celebrating Halloween with our diverse student community!” shared Ms. Sofia Malik, Pre Primary In-Charge at Apeejay School, Saket. “This event reminded us that inclusivity makes every celebration more meaningful.”
Dr. Reema Ramachandran, Founder President of the Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS), and Anil Jain, a J Block RWA member, graced the event, encouraging the students’ efforts to spread a message of inclusivity.
In addition to the colourful costume parade, students of Classes IV and V took the spirit of Halloween beyond the school by visiting nearby neighbourhoods, sharing treats, and promoting friendship and goodwill. This outreach aimed to instil a sense of responsibility and community in students, fostering an understanding of inclusivity as part of global citizenship.
“Let’s continue embracing each other’s uniqueness and spreading kindness in everything we do,” added Ms. Malik, capturing the school’s vision for cultivating compassionate, open-minded individuals. The day concluded with various engaging activities, leaving students and parents with lasting memories that celebrated unity and the joy of coming together. The event successfully blended cultural fun with meaningful learning, underscoring Apeejay School, Saket’s dedication to nurturing individuals who value and promote harmony in their communities.
