Kaustubh Pandey, Editor-in-Chief of Get Italian Football, recently appeared on CNN World Sport as a football expert, offering his analysis on Juventus’ quest for their first Serie A title since 2020. The Apeejay School, Pitampura alumnus’ insights came following Juventus’ dominant performance over Como in Thiago Motta’s debut match as the head coach.
“The Bianconeri looked vastly different from last season. It’s a significant improvement,” noted Pandey. “They played faster, more fluid football, with excellent movement between the lines, which aligned perfectly with fan expectations. Their attacking threats were much more prominent this time.”
Commenting on Motta’s team selection, he added, “It’s no surprise that youth is being prioritized. Juventus’ revamped academy system is paying off, bringing talented youngsters into the senior A squad.”
However, Pandey emphasised that current champions Inter Milan remain the favorites for the title this season. “Juventus will need to strengthen their wings, and with players like Nico Gonzalez potentially coming in, they could become strong contenders,” he observed. “Motta’s style will take time to settle, but by next season, Juventus will be in top form.”
