Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar students recently participated in a Promo Ride Cyclothon organised by the Rotary Club of Jalandhar Helping Hands. This event, held as part of the National Eye Donation Fortnight (August 25 – September 8), aimed to raise awareness about the significance of eye donation. The Cyclothon was an opportunity for students to actively participate in a noble cause and demonstrate their understanding of social responsibility.
The event saw participation from students of Class VII B, including Arjun Dhir, Harkirat Singh, Veer Partap, Anantveer, and Aniket Asthana, who proudly represented their School. The ride began at 5:30 a.m. with the students displaying tremendous enthusiasm and dedication to the cause. Throughout the event, the students were applauded for their energy and commitment. To appreciate their efforts, each participant was awarded a potted plant, medals, and refreshments. This gesture reinforced the spirit of community service and environmental consciousness, two values that are highly emphasised at Apeejay School. The students’ participation in the event highlights the school’s dedication to nurturing responsible citizens who are aware of their duties toward society.
