Apeejay School, Model Town recently hosted its much-awaited Inter House Punjabi Poem Recitation Competition 2025 for students of Grades VI to X, filling the campus with the rhythmic charm of verse and the vibrant spirit of language learning. The event served as a joyful reminder of how poetry nurtures creativity, builds confidence and strengthens cultural roots among young learners.
Celebrating the Beauty of Punjabi Language
Poetry recitation has long been regarded as a powerful educational tool. It helps students develop clarity of speech, improves memory and fosters an appreciation for linguistic diversity. At Apeejay, such competitions are designed not merely as contests, but as platforms where students learn to express themselves courageously, listen attentively, and celebrate the richness of regional languages. The Punjabi Poem Recitation Competition carried this mission forward with grace and enthusiasm.
Performances Filled With Expression and Cultural Pride
The event witnessed active participation from all school houses as students took to the stage with inspiring energy. Their recitations reflected not just their command over the Punjabi language but also an emotional connect with themes of nature, heritage, human values and everyday life. Each performance highlighted the importance of cultural literacy—an essential life skill that shapes open-minded, aware and empathetic learners.
The young orators impressed the judges with their articulation, intonation and ability to bring poems alive with expressive gestures. After several remarkable performances, the individual winners were announced:
